A Chat with Jesus
It's cloudy this morning. Not raining, though; but, we do need the rain.
When it rains and the ground and growing things reach out and up to receive it, it is a blessing. We see your hand in it, Jesus. But a cloudy day when the rain hangs somewhere up there and doesn't come down, there is a feeling of unfulfillment and frustration; a feeling of melancholy or loss or something that is needed but eludes us.
We human beings are creatures of many moods — up and downs — happiness and sadness.
But these are not all that important.
The important thing is that at the center of everything is you Jesus. No matter what the mood, you are there.
I reach out to you. I touch your hand, be it in joy or sorrow; in a feeling of physical well being or in sickness — whatever the situation, you are there, ready to close your fingers about mine and transfuse me with your gift of peace.
And I know for sure you love me as you know I love you.
We are wrapped together, mind to mind, will to will, heart to heart.
And so I make contact with you this morning, my Love.
I see you looking at me and I see your smile. This is my fulfillment.
