How Do I Know He Loves Me

 

Dear God, because you came to earth;

Because you shed your heavenly worth

You took on human form down here,

And shared with us the pain and tear.

 

To feel the chill of snow and rain,

To suffer insult, hate and pain,

When all the while you could have been

Up there where all is peace and void of sin.

 

All this is how, dear God, I know,

Emphatically, that you love me so!
