Dear Holy Spirit
Today I come to grips, so to speak, with who and where you are:
I believe you are with me all the time.
I believe Jesus is with me all the time, right at my side.
I believe our Holy Almighty Father is watching over me with loving care.
But, dear Holy Spirit, there is a difference. I know Jesus and I know the Father. I can visualize each of them, talk with each of them.
Maybe my trouble is just that, I don’t talk to you or I don't listen to you. Maybe that is why, I don't know you.
I know you are and in me, but 1 don’t know you — the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity. I can’t “grasp” your presence the way I can Jesus and the Father. I know you are an undividable part of them, the love of Jesus, the love of the Father united with you, the Great Spirit of Love and Understanding, Wisdom and Knowledge.
It is through your presence in me that l know Jesus and the Father.
My heart skips a beat when I am suddenly aware of and “feel” the presence of Jesus, and more rarely of the Father.
I can always picture them and they are usually smiling. But I can’t picture you — you are invisible, like air.
I would so much like you to manifest yourself to me in some way that would let me sense your presence.
I am not a mystic. Maybe that is the answer. As an ordinary person I should be content with that and accept what God wants for me; to believe without reservation that you are with me all the time.
Well, I do; so I need not wonder further.
What else is there? Just to know you care what happens to me — isn’t that in itself your manifestation of yourself to me? No fireworks, no phenomena; just this quiet sureness of your being with me. Now I know why — how wonderful.
Thank you, dear Guardian of my soul’s best interests.
